At the Bath game I thought the figure of 4000 included, all staff etc
So Greek would be better if they said 1800 for STH will be available, or confirm if the 2000 is on top of all staff in ground

But only if you know Greek; and it's tricky.

There are upwards of 300 match day staff, incl teams and support staff, stadium staff and BT Sport contingent.  At the Quinssa meeting with Quins Mgt we were told they are not included in the 2000.  This will be purely supporters in seats.

There are upwards of 300 match day staff...

And since we're in the Greek domain, there were only 300 Spartans...

That's made up my mind in the refund vs donation conundrum

A Response from Quins about the Premium Tickets Offer
The Committee have received a few complaints from our members regarding the club's Premium Ticket Offer, this is the response that they have provided:

"We hope you are as excited as we are that we can start welcoming Season Ticket Members back to The Stoop for our upcoming home matches. It has been a long-time coming but we hope very much that this is the start of more positive days to come and the prospect of larger sporting crowds very soon.

I wanted to address your specific concern about our Premium Tickets offer for these matches. As you are no doubt aware, sport and rugby as a whole has faced some extremely challenging months this year. We are acutely aware that many of our supporters have faced the same financial hardships and that is why we are so very grateful for your continued support to help Harlequins push through this difficult period, and hopefully help us thrive again very soon. Whether through donations or Season Ticket Membership renewals, we have been humbled by the support that has been received.

As well as the support from our Season Ticket Members, we are also extremely grateful to our loyal Partners, Sponsors and Corporate clients who, as long-term supporters of the Club and many of whom are also Season Ticket Members, have continued to support us throughout, often financially. As part of our commitment to serving all our supporters and partners, we have created a Premium Ticket offer to utilise the small proportion of seats in front of our Hospitality boxes that are usually sold as Hospitality seats.

We have purposely targeted our promotion of these tickets to our known contacts who have supported the Club over the years, including our existing Hospitality and Commercial partners – the majority of whom are also Season Ticket Members and several who we are contractually obligated to offer tickets to.

I would like to make clear that we are absolutely committed to maximising the number of Season Ticket Members who feel comfortable coming to the ground, and are delighted to be in a position to welcome supporters back to The Stoop. However I feel it important to also point out that, in reality, fixtures with reduced crowds are not financially viable in the long-term, and to ensure we are able to recover from the huge financial challenge the Club and rugby faces, we cannot simply ignore some commercial opportunities that deliver much needed revenue to the Club.

I would also like to clarify that you of course have the opportunity to upgrade to Premium Tickets should you wish, and that the proportionate value of your Season Ticket Membership for the chosen fixture would be discounted off the Premium Ticket cost.

I hope this helps clarify our reasoning behind the Premium Ticket offer.

Yes, it's a direct cut/paste of what they sent me earlier (nothing wrong with that). I don't have a problem with them rewarding "loyal Partners, Sponsors and Corporate clients" but premium tickets rewards anyone who is willing to pay extra. I see nothing that says it's only available to that group of people. Moreover the original ballot email entitled "Season Ticket Member Ballots Now Open" said "Harlequins will be able to host up to 2,000 people at The Stoop until further notice", thus giving the impression that the 2,000 people were STHs in the ballot.

All I want is honesty from the club and I don't see why it's even worth their while not giving it. If they said "We've decided that we need to keep the Loyal Partners, Sponsors and Corporate clients on side, so we'll satisfy their ticket requirements first and the STHs will get a ballot of what's left, then no, I wouldn't be happy but it would be better than finding out that by having to take apart the club's weasel words to discover the truth.

Oh for the days when if unhappy with something you could just buttonhole Mark Evans/Tony Copsey in the members bar and get it taken care of (or short shrift if he didn't agree!)
