Good news. Gives PG a chance to build his own side and work out what he wants.

Have they actually said he's going, or just a repeat of the old rumour that he's in talks?

So DC named 25 players that are out of contract at end of season, just looking at the squad list on the website I have had a guess at 23 of the 25:

Alofa
Boyce
Buchanan
Catrakilis
R.Chisholm
Cheeseman
Elia Elia
Horwill
Ibuanokpe
Kunatani
Lambert
Lewis
Luamanu
Mcnulty
Merrick
South
Swainston
Visser
Walker
Wallace
Ward
Waters
White

Thoughts?

If that list is correct - it would get rid of a huge amount of dead wood and would be hugely positive.

The only players I would keep are:

Elia Elia
Ibuanokpe
Kunatani

The rest I would happily see leave

I think that is a good opportunity for PG to clear the decks with a few names.  Laskie, didnt he only sign a 1 year deal???

I would keep Cheeseman, Ibuanopke, Kunatani, Waters for definate (also Laskie if he is ooc)  Elia depends on how RB comes back, but I do like him as a player

Others would depend on how they come back from injury RB, Horwill, Visser, The Cat,

Then it would depend on who else is coming in.  Cant make my mind up about South, Swainston, McNulty, R Chisholm.  Like I said, depends who may be coming in

Yes, but that is always the problem of the DOR, isn't it? You may want to get rid of all those people, but what if you can't get anyone better? What if you can't get anyone at all? You've just invested a huge amount of time, effort and trouble getting the team to play your way and now you're jeopardising all that by replacing half the team. Suppose some of those people have fully bought into your vision, and you think you're going to be swapping them for people only interested in the money and the glory? Suppose all the people you want to get (who presumably are better) are also 20% more expensive?

I missed Waters. I would include him also. And Lasike if he is on the list

Yeah your right i would keep those 3 too.

Only issue I have is to lose 20+ players (nearly half of the playing squad) in one go could have a massive impact. Also the fact we will need to recruit 20+ players in the summer....is that feasible?

will be an interesting summer for sure.

I for one trust Gustard and the new regime so fingers crossed!

If there is no relegation next season, it would be a great chance to rebuild with no pressure

I'd assumed that the 25 included the Academy as well.  Ibitoye and Murley are still in the Academy.

This. Unless we think our squad is massively oversized, we'd have to replace most of what we let go. Do we honestly think we could make 15-20 signings that are better than what we have? C'mon people!!
