Result? We were leading at half time?

Lost 13-17. First half was quite entertaining,  but some erratic (to say the least) refereeing and some personnel changes saw Quins run out of steam in the second half.  I thought we ran out of go-forward once Auterac,  Head and Swainston went off, but as a former member of the front row union, that may just be my own bias.

Good performance overall by Quins. A couple of tough ‘forward pass’ decisions in the first half for Alofa particularly. An entertaining game though and some decent performances from the Cat and Wallace and a couple of others.

I overheard the refs talking at the end and they were saying that their comms weren't working - so that may explain some of the reffing.
The bit in the 2nd half where we were in their 22 and a Braves lazy runner came back and took the ball was laughable.

But, the Cat's kicking game was very, very good.  (except for the cross field to Walker that he missed and went out on the full - but, that only lost about 10 metres).

The difference was the forwards in the 2nd half couldn't give us any go forward.

But, an entertaining night.

Yep agree with all that. But for more than a few dubious 'forward pass' decisions the game could have gone our way, although we seem to lack idea's in attack

Think the forwards, whilst manfully kept going, weren't use to Exeter's attritional game and just run out of steam to go on the offensive. Defence was pretty sound though and pleased they managed to defend a couple of Exeter's catch and drive's near our line as well.

In total contrast to Saturday , our lineout was excellent .. one overthrow from memory but all others won , we scored from a 5m catch and drive ( who would have thought that ?) and held up Braves a couple of times with theirs .

Tapui and Cheesman were good in the centre , against quality Exeter backs , Woodburn and Short were tough to stop .. good performance but our bench wasn't strong ( apart from Lambo who had a cameo 20min blinder !)

Entertaining game , could have gone either way  - I was impressed with Braves attitude who having won and had the ball at 80 mins , didn't boot it off straight away but kept playing for about 3/4 mins to try and get another score .

My MOM would be Braves No 8 , who was everywhere !

Good Pre match warm up with Joe Marler and his Question of Sport in the members bar ..Danny Care , Wardy , Marcus , Tim V , James Horwill and Abby Scott providing the banter .. all for Quins Foundation .
