TRP reporting that we are after him for next season (From Falcons).  Earle, as feared is expected to miss the entire season.  Radwan is only in the Falcons academy so not sure he would be too expensive.  Maybe we could compensate them by DR one or two of our academy players.  Would help them out and be good for our boys to get some Champ rugby with a good side

I really like Radwan as a player, but I’m not sure he’s the type of winger we need to replace Earle? Earle’s size and athleticism have been a big part of our attack over and above outright gas. Radwan is an exciting stepper with great pace, but that’s similar to what we have with Ibitoye and Walker (if he stays).

What are you on about?

It was me who said it was unlikely the Times rugby writer was trotting out a six month old based on the twitter account of the bloke off the rugby paper.

Not sure what that’s got to do with quoting it.

But as it goes the last available circulation for The Rugby Paper it was selling 17,000 copies. Less than Cross Stitch Crazy, but holding its own against Trout Fisherman.

I reckon that counts as “no one reads TRP”.

I'm assuming this is because sewing is not officially considered a sport?

Yes, but they haven't had a tickle of Trout Fisherman, which is struggling it the shallows.

I'll pick another equally poorly-read publication from the list.

TRP also sells less than Quick Cards Made Easy, but is racing ahead of Airfix Model World, which can only manage 15,000.

I do wonder how these publications survive. Worked at a leading music magazine for a few months 5 years ago and the company that owned them among tonnes of other popular mags were really struggling and cutting staff right down. Morale was also shocking. Genuinely don't know why they bother - Fiss certainly doesn't come across as the type who does it just for the love of the game but maybe it's all ego. Being able to say "I have a weekly column for the UK's leading rugby paper" sounds good - on paper.

I used to subscribe on line to TRP but then found a site called READLY.  Hundreds of magazines, about 8/9 quid a month.  Bargain.  Must be worth the while of TRP to be on theses sites. (pocketmags is another, I use for West Ham and other programmes/magazines)  I would expect more people read them than you think (would these be counted in circulation n umbers?)

Yeah, their digital offering must be what they focus on now to stay alive - Blucher, is the 17,000 just the number of physical copies sold or does that include digital subscriptions?

Good question, but I would guess(??) that even if it includes digital subscriptions, it would only be to the official TRP site and not the other magazine sites it is available on.  Would be difficult to get exact numbers from those type of sites.
