If you believe RUCK, he is on his way to Quins next season

Would be lovely... but he'd be away with England half the time.

I personally would have him even considering the time he’ll be away with England

Would be a real statement signing. A genuine world class player coming into his peak years.

I'd be very happy to see him in the fullback shirt and would be a great player for Lynagh to learn from (not that he doesn't have one of those at home, of course)

I'm a bit mehh about that one tbh. How did he do when EJ first tried him at FB and isn't he a bit of a sicknote?

Hmmm, a great player on paper. But did you see him play Full Back the other day. He was awful. Bath have switched him back to the wing in the next game.

He is only 26, so his best years are now and ahead of him.

Let's hope not too much of the cash is spent, we need a number of new players, especially if the rumors are true about those leaving or wanting to leave.

I don't think he's a great fullback and he's shown that for England. Having said that I'm sure he'd be our best fullback if he joined, and also a world-class wing option.

I know he's injury prone and know he'd be away with England, but I'd still be very happy. Great player. It would also show that we are still in the market for and able to attract big names

I'd love to see a signing of this quality who would fit the Quins running style, but I'm sceptical that there's any truth behind it. For the same reasons many on this Board have questioned why Marcus (Smith) would go to Bath to improve his prospects, the same could be said of Watson to Quins. It could of course be the wrong Watson and we're actually signing Marcus !

We certainly have a vacancy at full-back (no Premiership starting XV quality option presently, to replace Browny) but I hope that won't mean that we can't bolster our increasingly weak second and back row resources.

Surely a combination of Browns/ Ashtons wages plus Goneva, who we never really replaced, would be enough to cover Watson’s potential contract. Still think we will make a big name signing in the second or back row as  the departures of Robshaw, Clifford and Kunatani has meant a significant lack of depth in the back row and star quality in my opinion. Wonder if Ben Curry could be tempted down from Sale.
