Watson would be a great addition understand injury & England but think he could fit well here.

We do however need to balance wage as across lock, BR, 10 wing and 15. Not an easy tasked and where do you put top earners?

I doubt that Goneva was on very much.
Somehow, I suspect that Ashton may have been a bit of a bargain too - picked up for little cost as he was out of work.
I also suspect that Brown is not on the salary that has was on a few years back.

With the salary cap reducing, I suspect that we would need to let a few more players go to afford Watson.

I am surprised that we haven't seen much of Green.
I assumed that Green and Brown would share the 15 shirt over the course of the season with Brown then being a mentor/injury substitute, etc towards the end of the season.

Browns last contract was signed at the end of the 2015-16 season I think. At this point he was very much still an international standard player and I imagine his contract would have reflected that.

A big no thanks. Why would we sign an England international probe to injury. I can’t remember the time I watched a Bath game and thought wow. I hope this is just his agent pushing Bath for more money. I don’t know why any Prem club would want to spend big on internationals these days when they play half of flub games.

Look at the Jonny May saga and Leicester quite rightly thought why pay big wages to somebody never here...I can’t imagine for a moment Quins would fall into that trap.

I wouldn't worry about his England appearances - after a few months he'll be dropped by EJ...

Something odd going on with Green. Why is he behind Lynagh, Chisholm and Morris in the pecking order? Injured, visa issues, ill (long Covid), bust up? Just seems strange that he has barely featured when he was signed with a reasonable degree of fanfare

I think Green took a while to actually arrive in the UK to begin with. His promotional shoot for Quins appears to have happened on the 18th of November (from what I can tell on his Instagram feed). No doubt there's an element of getting back up to playing speed, adjusting to the squad, learning the new plays etc. Plus there's been no A-league to help get him into the routine with the team too.

Wonder if Ben Curry could be tempted down from Sale.

No no no no no no no. No 😡

In all seriousness, he’s part of the leadership team there (some think he should be captain instead of Jono) and gets plenty of game time - especially whilst his brother is gallivanting around with Eddie’s boys.

Never say never and I’m tempting fate but I can’t see why he’d leave.

I would definitely take the Curry twins, a perfect replacement for the Robshaws.  Watson is better on the wing but we have plenty of wings unless any more than Ashton are off. Watson for Ashton for sure though.

I'm sorry, even I cannot shoot that fish in a barrel....:)
