Not passed Jono Ross he doesn't :D

He certainly won't pass to Jono but he might go past him.

"Good to see the Saracens board questioning the cap now and using this signing for another dig at Robshaw and Care."

could you show where this was confirmed ?

Not confirmed just on the Saracens message board, link to the board is via the quick link to the left.

Wasn’t keen on him a while ago but I think he is older and wiser now after hearing him on the pod. I think it shows how stupid and delusional some Salarycens fans are if they think a club will flout the cap after what they have caused.

Quite a few posters here, a few years back, were lambasting Ashton for his defensive liabilities in particular, & also for his arrogant & quite selfish attitude. I'm not a fan of him personally. What happened with him & Steve Diamond? Now that Yarde is back fit, Ashton obviously didnt want to fight for his place. We'll see how this pans out. As an injury dispensation signing, yes a good one, as a permanent signing, not so sure.

Well Chris Ashton should hopefully prove a much better signing than another big name winger Paul Sackey was!

Why can't all these Ashton threads be combined?

According to Brendan Gallagher in TRP this morning we have signed him until the end of next season.

Sky Sport did a study on why Ashton is so prolific as a try scorer.  It was fascinating.  He runs his heart out, covers an amazing amount of turf and always makes himself available. Not withstanding he's a great finisher.  It changed my opinion of him totally and have been a big fan for the last few years.

Having listened to him talking about why he left Sale on the Rugby Union Weekly podcast I think he’ll be an excellent addition to the squad – apparently one of the reasons for leaving Sale is that he was willing to challenge the approach, one of things I think we’ve needed for a long time is players to come and shake things up. Could be a great signing.

And lets not forget that he scored one of THE great tries at Twickenham, albeit nearly 10 years ago!
