Attendances
« on: Sunday 29-Jul-2018, 20:30* »
I thought this was interesting. While we all know we're looking at a new stadium because of nearing capacity in many games, look at the minimum attendance figures in the premiership. And look at Leicester's!

And I had not realised we got more for the Big Game than attended the actual Premiership final, so well done to all concerned on that one!

So, minus the Big Game, we’re still averaging 13,506 - about 91%. Easily enough to need to plan for a bigger stadium.

I wonder how different the numbers would have looked if we had had a half decent season.

In 10 prem games at The Stoop we averaged 12,970, and with only 1 sell out. That's way down from previous seasons.

7 sell outs the year before, 6 the year before that and 5 the year before that.

That will be the effect of a rubbish season, lots of "occasional" supporters won't bother. When the season ticket holders can't face going to matches to see us playing badly and getting spanked you can't be suprised

The London Double Header skews the average and high attendance for Irish and Sarries.  Both have been assigned 56k+.  Large number of the fans will only watch the one game.
