Rumour on line that he is heading to Yorks next season
I'm a little disappointed he's leaving. No great star but has been a decent servant to the team. Like Symons he took a little while to bed in but seems fine as a bench option.
Will wait and see if there is an upgrade coming in, but feel that he could have done better than a middling Championship team (potentially such as staying at Bristol...)
If it's true that Snyman is on the way and assuming Horwill and Symons remain fit, Glynn's not going to get much of a look in. Fair enough that he'd want to get the game time he deserves. Never going to set the Prem on fire but agree he's not let the side down when he's played. Very steady - we just need a bit more than that. Stan South needs to start developing next season though - he hasn't really got a bandwagon with his name on yet. Do we have another lock option? I feel like I'm forgetting someone...
Dave Ward also meant to be going there in a player / coach role

Think a good move for both of them (and us tbh) if true...

That's a middling Championship team that's rumoured to be part of a 14 team ring-fenced Premiership next season. :)
Are we not meant to be bringing in a young lock from Newcastle???
Would be a shame to see him go as he's been a solid player for us. A grafter whom doesn't get the recognition he deserves IMO. Horwill seems to have struggled to play much at all so we may be leaving ourselves vulnerable, incoming locks pending of course. I really do hope we get Snyman.

Yes Glen Young isn't it? So if it's Merrick and Glynn leaving, the 2 direct replacements are Snyman and Young if both confirmed?

Good business assuming it's true.
Dave Ward is going to Leeds not York’s
Leeds re-branded to "Yorkshire Carnegie" a couple of seasons ago.
Either way we don’t need players like Ward (who has gone from mini legend to liability remarkably fast over last 2/3 seasons) and Glynn if we’re going to try to sustain improvement

I disagree. We do need players like Glynn. Solid squad players who won't let us down, but whop also won't go looking for a new club if they're a fringe player. Glynn has been a good signing - not flashy or sensational, but reliable and consistent.
Ward has lost a lot of form in the past season or so.
...and yet Gussy keeps picking him. Probably because he is so bandy he couldn't stop a pig in a poke..
