Love Big Game. Decided this year to bring a couple of mates along too and getting 50% off with our membership on the guest tickets has meant we’ve got two non-rugby friends to come along too (our rugby friends will come anyway). Now to make sure they cheer for the mighty Quins!

MEMBERS WEIRD ONLINE SEATS ALERT....

I went to get our usual group of seats and since they said you could also do it via the website rather than calling as normal, I went to do it on the offy.

The selection of seats looked terrible compared to previous years --- only the very back of the centre middle tier blocks or the very front of the lower tier blocks, both of which aren't great places to sit.

Phoned up - and got the front of the middle tier in the middle of the pitch.

I did say the seat selection looked a bit odd, but it doesn't seem to have changed.

Do you find the noise effects in the middle level are a bit strange?

I've always called up the club for this. If you know where you want to sit, you can talk through the options with the member of staff, even to the level of picking individual seat numbers if you know them. A couple of years ago I tried to do it online, but like Blucher I found the seat selection was poor. I called the club & they recommended for BG tickets to ALWAYS talk to someone in person, as th best seats for members are only allocated over the phone.

See this is where a forum like this comes into it's own. So you heard it here first folks.

Always try to sit as near the front as possible if I get the option for Quins or England games. Have been at the back of the middle a couple of times and don't like it -- the "roof" of the upper stand seats and the TVs makes it an odd experience.

Haven't noticed any noise effects though -- but I shout quite a lot and am often quite drunk so....

I have said before, if you can navigate the labyrinth that is the Harlequins phone system, when you do get through to the ticketing people - they are wonderful!
