Brad Shields should wind his neck in. It is frankly inconceivable that he has been picked straight from Super rugby and into the England team when there were other English (and deserved of selection) alternatives. It makes a mockery of the international game. And his performances in the Red rose have hardly captivated and endeared fans to him and the move.

Our games against Wasps and Sarries always seem to attract a bit more niggle on both sides. I guess it's the London rivalries of the past and familiarity amongst the England squad players. I thought Robshaw was particularly 'Abrasive' against Sarries earlier this year, albeit totally within the law. Marler and Care's chat seems to hurt us more in terms of penalties and 10 yard walks so I'm not sure why the opposition should whinge about it so much

Two words in response to issues about niggle and about chirping the ref - Lawrence Dallaglio!
We're only doing what was done to us! :)

Typical whining Southern Hemisphere player who can dish it out but can’t take it and never accepts defeat with grace.

Nathan Hughes and Kyle Eastmond have been pretty dirty for Wasps against Quins in recent seasons.

However, we do try and get under some teams skins. Not all of them, but Wasps and Saracens for sure. It helps.

League table on cards this season
1. Glos. 2. WASPS 3. Quins and that is Premiership rugby tables so definitely pots and kettles

Still not great that we're in the top 3 though

Nice to be in the top 3 of something, though! :)

After seeing James Lowe's red card against Munster I am really not sure how the Wasps player escaped either a red card on the day or citing after.

We can expect more complaints like this this season, for the simple reasons that a) we have a few players who are niggly at their best and outright dirty at their worst, but more importantly b) Gustard has managed to get our defence looking absolutely no fun to play against whatsoever.

Niggle is easily ignored in a friendly match, but when the opposition are doing their level best to legally put huge pressure on you, hurt you in the tackle (not like that ;)), fight for every inch and every scrap of ground, niggle is a lot more effective.

Niggle is a sign of "no quarter given". It's a sign of people playing on the edge. Agreed Dave Ward's stuff was idiotic, but if other teams find us annoying then I can't say I'm too upset about it.

Saw what you did there.
