Care injury - was it head knock?
« on: Sunday 17-Feb-2019, 08:51* »
Care didn’t look well when he was on the floor. It was on our side of the ground and looked like a knee/foot to the head but couldn’t quite see.

Could have just been our view but we thought he looked a bit disoriented when he stood up and were amazed he didn’t get taken off for an HIA.

Anyone?

Was a knee to the back. Should have been a yellow for the Worcs 4.  Snidey little knee drop into the back.  I think he was lucky

Agree with honkytonk, looked like the Worcester player dropped his knees into Care deliberately.

Ah cheers, that would explain why he took a while to sit and looked awkward when he first got up.

It was all a bit strange, Pearce said that he didn`t think that there was anything in it but they would take a look anyway while DC was being treated. Pearce then said that he thought it was OK but TMO or linesman said that there was contact with the tacklers knees onto DC`s back. They took several more looks and agreed that there had been foul play so it (presumably) was a case of yellow or red. Then Pearce says that as it was only slight foul play then it would be a penalty only. I thought that foul play was foul play which would result in a card of some colour but apparently that is not the case. You learn something new every day.

Was a card all day for me.  Should have just been a case of what colour.  It was a potentially dangerous move, and cowardly into the back of a bloke on the floor

It was in front of us and while a penalty, a card would have been a bit harsh - I don’t think was intentional - Care (very bravely) went to secure the ball and the Worcester player fell over him. Had it hit his head then maybe a yellow for lack of player care...

I thought it was a total accident. Knee to the side ribs. Good on Danny to get up from that and carry in.

Agree it looked accidental. Danny and there 4 shook hands before Danny continued, certainly no hard feelings from DC.

Happened right in front of us too - looked more clumsy than intentional from a big guy who didn't have time to change direction

For me, it was a definite penalty, probable yellow card. I get that there was an element of clumsy accidence about it, but ultimately he could (and should) have easily avoided it by stepping over DC. An accident of sorts, but an avoidable one.

Had it been the other way round, i bet it would been a penalty/yellow. Danny did walk away with a bruised eye which i saw when he walked past me after the game

I still think he intentionally dropped the knee into Cares back

Watching it on the big screen, from behind their player it looked an accident, but from side on it looked deliberate to me and a yellow card.

Blucher , - There was certainly the incident with the Wuss player when he got a knee in the ribs   - but on the BBC Pod he said he got a boot in the face from his own player which is why he has a black eye .

So he did get a head knock as well .
