It's a perfect game to miss, can't possibly abandon family every Saturday afternoon or refuse to go away to see family or friends for whole (overly long) rugby season so games like this are a gift. Given all our matches are 3pm Sat this season (pretty much), it massively restricts the opportunity for beers rather than ducking down to the game then home to help with kids.

Also going to all 6 nations -- so it's a loss leader for negotiations.

The last round at home there were 8000, and we weren't even out of it at that stage.

I do wonder if people have seen £30 and just not cared -- or been mistaken about this being some kind of massive crunch match with Sarries.

Still, bit of misleading advertising means a few more quid for the club on day when literally nothing is at stake and we'll rest our senior team.

There might well be a considerable number of occasional rugby goers who may have mistaken this fixture for a 1st XV fixture, rather than for what it really is! ££££££!
They're going to be disappointed.....
At the last home game, I spoke with a number of regulars who hadn't read the small print!:-)

I think the new name for this competition has been partly to blame. When you call it the "Premiership Rugby Cup", a more casual fan may look at that and think it's a Premiership game!

and someone in Marketing will be rubbing their hands saying " mission accomplished " - on the upside , if people aren't bothered enough to check what sort of fixture it is , they will probably still have a good day out at the Rugby , so win /win .

My tuppence worth - kids saw it advertised on the club's Instagram account, knew that Saracens are our fierce local rival, therefore really wanted to go.  They don't care that it's a dead rubber or that they might not recognise many of the team - just that it's a game against a team they know are really good.

Having dragged them along since they could barely walk to games where they really only cared about where the chocolate brownie/liquid nitrogen ice-cream stand was - it's a nice turnaround for them to be interested in the match!

Can we stop Saracens from qualifying because that would be very satisfying and worth watching. I’m going anyway because there’s a game on and beer after in the pub. I can’t get to A league games so should be able to see some of the youngsters playing.
