Wallace would be one of the first out for me.  I wouldn't have him anywhere near the first team.

And I agree that we should also look to replace Ward, Luamanu, Visser, Lewis, Cat and Chisholm.

I would keep Alofa as I have been impressed with him and he is versatile.

I think Wallace needs to show what he can do this season consistently. He’s been underwhelming for a while but at his best he’s great

It seems that we have a lot of players who have shown promise and might come good, but not enough who actually have come good. So I expect that Gussie and Millard will be sufficiently ruthless and move some of them on. I'd assume that many of these discussions are already underway as it seems most premiership players have a good idea by the turn of the year where they will be playing the following season. But the range of opinion on this thread demonstrates the difficulty of identifying which ones are worth backing (at least for a bit longer) and which ones should be moved on.  I am hoping that the coaching staff have a better hold on the problem than I do.

Re Wallace, it's perhaps harsh but if you compare him to his peers at other clubs in terms of being generally below or just below International-level/regular club picks (but not emerging talent either) i.e. Jackson Wray, Kvesic, Garvey, Thomas Young, Guy Thompson etc I feel we get less from him than those other teams do from their respective players in terms of impact and consistency.

That being said, I still like the idea of what a bang in form Wallace can offer and really hope he gets back fully fit and can stake a claim for a regular place.

Seriously? You're hoping?

If they haven't got about a million times better hold on it than you I'd like to know what they're doing in their jobs.

Luke was posing for selfies in front of a Maserati on Sunday along with Matt Symons and looked in fine fettle.

Sounds dreamy.

TRP this week is again linking Lewis Boyce with Wasps , but also us with Ollie Devoto ,( who is out of contract with Chiefs soon )making the point he can cover across the back line from 10-15

Presumably more agent rhetoric , but another name in the pot !

Would be really disappointing to lose Boyce, but he's probably thinking that with Joe not being off with England anymore that he won't play much.  He'll play for England if he gets regular Prem games.

Bit lukewarm about Devoto.  When he left Bath I'd have loved him at Quins, but he's never really kicked on at Chiefs.  Plus he's regularly injured (so fits our "profile"....).  With any combination of Lang, Saili, Lasike, Marchant, Alofa we seem covered, unless Lang and Marchant are called up together.  Not sure what he's like at 15, but Brown, Morris, Earle and Chisholm cover us there.  Would rather we saved up for a quality 10.

I would be disappointed if Boyce went so soon when he is looking like the real deal. Him and Marler are a formidable pair and would think that if both are fit you could rotate them with the idea that they would empty the tank for 50 or 60mins then swap. This would give Boyce the game time he needs and Marler the competition. The only problem could be the wages Wisps might offer him if the rumour is true.

I hope we don't lose Boyce, he's the number 2 to Marler I think and I don't know if he'd be better off elsewhere career wise. It will help his career long term if he doesn't get overplayed while still relatively young.
Wallace is very good, but I don't think he has properly recovered from that awful injury last season yet in terms of being properly match fit. That has to affect the way he's playing and his abilities.

When in form, Wallace was very good. As the "understudy" back row, he reminds me a bit of Tom Guest - being held out of the back row by others. However, the difference seems to be that when TG got some game time, he was up for it from the off, explosive runs and big hits, whereas Wallace seems to need some time to get back to form in each game.

Not dismissing the injury, which was horrible, but he needs to earn his place in the side.
