Quinssa - Nigel Owens talk

It was brilliant. Big thanks to Quinssa for organising.

Highlight for me was the story about Austin Healey.

It was a great evenings entertainment , full of belly laughs and interesting anecdotes , clearly a guy that is happy to laugh at himself as well as others . If Owens chooses to go on the after dinner speaking circuit when he hangs up his whistle , he'll be a star at that - hes a natural .

A brilliant night, indeed. Well done Quinssa.

Only fly in the ointment was the bar excelling themselves with ineptitude which they spiced up with a splash of rudeness.

He already is. Was at a club dinner last year, self-deprecating, funny with some great stories of growing up as the only one in the village etc. Did he sing? He did after the dinner speech and he was very good (in a likeable Welsh way of course). Top ref and top man.

Yes , he sang , but hard to stop a Welshman with a microphone bursting into song I suppose ( he did it justice though) , he mixed it with a joke about Rourkes Drift and the Zulu film which was funny -

Great evening. Food arrived late and bar staff were totally inept, but the main event was well worth it.

An excellent evening- well done and thanks to all for organising it.

I must however mention the most uncomfortable chairs I have ever experienced. So bad that my legs failed to work after two hours on one and it wasn't the beer! I wonder where the more modern metal framed stacking ones from previous events have gone? Well done Quins on going for the cheapest option again.

Completely agree re chairs. They are without doubt the most uncomfortable chairs I've sat on for a long time. I thought it was just me!

Yes, the chairs were very uncomfortable but what made it worse was their being placed too close together.  Great evening though, probably the best Quinssa event I’ve ever attended.  Many thanks to all involved in the organisation.
