I’ve been listening to Chris Ashton on the 5 Live RWC podcast. He is coming across as a nice guy - to be honest, totally different from what I expected!
I’ve spoken to someone who was a teammate of his about what he is really like. He paused before saying “he’s alright really”. He then said he can be a bit excitable .Then I mentioned the “Miss it” shout when Snap was taking a kick at the posts when we played Saracens in the playoffs a while back. He said that he shouldn’t have done that and laughed about the Manu incident adding that not everybody gets on with him. I’ve also spoken to a female interviewer who didn’t think much of him. Like a lot of people in the public eye, unless you know them yourself it’s difficult to be sure what they are actually like . I thought he came over ok on the radio but he was squirming quite a lot when Danny went on about the Manu incident encouraging those that hadn’t seen it to check it out on YouTube. Danny seemed to be enjoying it a lot more than Ashy.
