Very pleased with that. He is one of our better players and I'd have been disappointed to lose him.

Important news, would have felt significant and symbolic had he departed. Could see him being named captain next season and ushering in a new era (Robshaw, Brown and Care can’t go on for ever) and retaining the services of a home-grown international is as important as not losing them. Looking like he’s getting back towards his best. Will likely be too late for RWC but great news for Quins for the next three years.

This is really really good news. Thanks Jack for staying & believing. Can see him developing as a David Pocock type of player & that can only be excellent for us & for England. Go for it Jack!

Excellent, it feels like the first big signing for the new guard of Quins, so pleased would have been very upsetting if we couldn't hold on to our best up and coming players

I wonder if Lawday will be making the trip from Exeter as speculated ,with Clifford resigning .

I think arniepie mentioned something about rumours of Clifford leaving but nothing substantial more that clubs wanted to talk to him. Will be another post for RIL to delete.

My bad. It was Kyle.

A lot of ‘ifs’ involved but unfortunately this story might have legs

With the rumours about Exeter I was a tad concerned, but perhaps it was never in doubt? Or was it a close call? An agent spinning stories? I don't know and I don't care. The bottom line is The Jack Man has re-signed for Quins, staying loyal to the club that has helped him through two tough years. All these rumours along side Jack's return to the side have been unsettling, but now we can say for defo.... The Jack Man is back! Bring on the final third of the season!

Yes, usually expect us to hold on to our best players. How many genuine first team players from the academy have we lost over the past decade? Robson, maybe stretts (ok. It academy but didn't come to us as a journeyman, pretty long-term)? Must have the lowest turnover of homegrown players in the league.

I do hope as part of his new deal he's told the club they can only call him the Jack-man a maximum of once a season. Such a dreadful nickname!

We should fight back by applying this principle to other players, in particular the Renaldo Man, the Alofa Man, The Demi Man and the Semi Man, until the club get sick of us and stops it.

Actually, no, we shouldn't.
