That's an awful lot of 'Released'. Does that mean they have no club to go to, or that it just hasn't been announced ?

I hope that the released players have something to move on to.  It feels like rugby as a career is becoming even more precarious.

It has been rumoured for a few weeks now.  Allegedly going back to South Africa to play along with other Saffa exiles being induced homewards.

Shame the way that turned out, but that should now make SOME cash available. A bigger question now is who would be available to spend it on?

There has been nothing official yet regarding the Cat.  That list was just lifted from Wikipedia

Not saying he wont leave of course, I think he will.  As for the released players, Im pretty sure a few have clubs but nothing has been announced.

I hope Ben Glynn has got a club to go to, I think he certainly offers enough to be a good squad player for a premiership side - London Irish could certainly do with bulking up theirs squad with a few players of his standard.

Difficult to know what is fact and what is rumour, at one time Ben Glynn supposedly going back to Bristol and Mat Luamanu to France.

The Wikipedia list links to a Bristol Post article that claims Catrakilis is leaving in favour of Quade Cooper, which in turn links to TRP, where Fissler is currently claiming that we haven't signed Brock James because he's going back to La Rochelle, but no mention of Cooper or Cat.

I would take any further rumours with a pinch of salt.

I think there might be a few more announcements to come - we will probably hear about a couple of players once we know the RWC squads, but it's only once you know whether they are in Japan that the club will say when they are joining, and I imagine there will be some academy promotions.

That's an awful lot of 'Released'. Does that mean they have no club to go to, or that it just hasn't been announced ?

Means they didn’t choose to leave - and yes also means they haven’t yet got a job.

DC said on the pod that a “lot of boys have been let go”

That includes Walker although he obvs has now done the deal with Zebre.
