Of course you must be under 16 to enter. But it got me thinking "what do we want to see in a new Harlequins stadium?".

I'll start with my favourite topic (now I got you all the Real Ale bar!), and say "A terrace. Somewhere cheaper than normal seats where people can stand and watch the game. With decent discounts for young people, so skint teenagers have somewhere to go on a Saturday" (assuming it's one of the few times we play on a Saturday!). If it's at the front of a stand (North or South) then it only needs raising a bit to see over all the people walking past! :)

I'd echo the request for a terrace.  Reflecting on what works well at other grounds...the atmosphere and fun on the terrace at the Ulster away game last season was a real highlight for me - they've got a good thing going there.

Make sure that you feed that back to the club in the consultancy phase of planning that's currently underway! I believe there's also an email address/website that's been set up for people to supply their thoughts...

I wonder if they'll keep the sniper in the north-west corner who has taken down a few opposition players in the last couple of seasons, frustratingly just when we have been about to score.

I don't like the sort of bars they have at Wasps or Twickenham - I'd hope they keep something like the Kings bar and Quins Head, just without the current issues!

Stands close to the pitch would be good, so no track round the pitch.

I quite like having the open corrners but suspect they'll go as it is wasted space

I'd very much like the American idea of bringing F&B to you in your seat. Wouldn't solve the toilet issue though.

Well stop issuing toilet while you're in your seat!

A Terrace area would be good. A better real ale bar, and more loos and bars are definitely neccessary.
Personally I like the front loading nature of the stands, even if it does mean we end up a bit further away from the pitch. It makes one feel somehow more involved.

IIRC the club have said that the proposed new stadium would continue to have the "Front lading" type of stand, rather than the style at TW with a vomitorium (look it up, it doesn't mean a place to be sick in!)

have DHL stand nearer the pitch,my seat is on the 22 but only 3 rows up.I am sick of people coming late ,and then stopping right in front of me when there is a bit of action. The walk ways need to be behind the stands.

Grimsby, I share your frustration, but if they did that it wouldn't be front loading.

I think having a concourse around the pitch is important in retaining a connection with the players and keeping the feel of a rugby club .

I also agree that a Terrace would be an excellent addition and that of course helps solve the problem of low level seating along the sides.

I have to say the ability to stand at the advertising hoardings after a game and congratulate the players...It's not my cup of tea but lots of people love to do it. And I think it's important in letting little (and big) kids near the players. So even though I (two rows up in the West Stand) suffer from people walking past, waterboys, physios, match officials, coaches, ball persons, medical personnel, stewards, assistant referees, players et al. , I would like to see that retained.

If the pitch, concourse is 3 or 4 foot lower than the first row of seats it would be a lot better for the people in the lower seats.
