Details of Channel 4 FTA Champions Cup Live coverage
« on: Friday 12-Oct-2018, 11:35* »
http://sport-onthebox.com/2018/08/17/heineken-champions-cup-2018-19-channel-4-free-to-air-matches-live-tv-coverage/

I was actually trying to find a Challenge Cup Highlights/Live listing but there doesn't seem to be any detail other than BT saying they will cover some key Challenge Cup games. Does anybody know if Challenge Cup Highlights are on FTA anywhere? I expect we'll get 30 second clips at the end of the Champions Cup Highlights programmes...:(

The Agen match wasn't available on any streaming sites so it wasn't being broadcast by anyone. Was it filmed at all?

Yes, enough for it to be on the big screen.

A. Look at the screen in the NorthWest corner of the ground.
B. Change your location to the West stand. That is where the experts sit.

Talking of TV coverage, I was looking at RugbyPass.com but couldn't find any mention of ERC Challenge Cup coverage so I went on their "LiveChat" to ask. Yes they do cover Challenge Cup but only if you are in Asia. Oh, and don't bother trying to use a VPN they said, because your subscription to RP will be cancelled without refund...bit harsh!

Somebody on here suggested a VPN called "ZenMate" which has a free entry level. Unfortunately I couldn't find the free bit so have paid £8.99 for one months usage. When I actually find out how to use it (?) is it still worth trying to access RP despite all the warnings?

Update....it does work and I can now watch played/live games from anywhere in the world from my base in cough Hong Kong...EXCEPT any Challenge Cup content which just doesn't seem to exist...

I am still using rp via zenmate. I think it is a pretty good channel. I used to use the betting sites to watch, but RP is better quality

*Sorry I don’t find that funny, I was trying to tap the sad face and my fat thumbs got in the way and tapped funny. For some reason it won’t let me undo the rating either. I hope you get it all sorted deadlyfrom5yardsout and good that it was spotted by them

I use NordVPN and haven’t had any problems using Rugby Pass. However, they weren’t showing any Challenge Cup matches live yesterday.

On a related point, as VPNs get more and more common - they advertise on mainstream TV now - presumably the broadcasters such as Netflix are going to work out a way to stop people logging in via a server in a different country

Rugbypass don't show Challenge Cup.
Whatever they say, they don't seem to care about VPNs as you only need one to log in, you can then dispense with the VPN which improves performance considerably.

If there is a live broadcast maybe we can pick up a feed on Paddy Power or Rugby Pass...
