It's the same logic as a certain Leicester fan who insisted that Ford was better than Smith and Lynagh wasn't ready for international rugby based on Quins' last match at Welford Road (in which the difference between the teams, lest we forget, was a single missed conversion).

Though to be fair, Cardiff played really well and Quins for the most part didn't. It took a trademark Smith magic 5 minutes to win the game.

One area that we excelled though was in the set piece.
The scrum was a real weapon and the lineout functioned nicely.
So - it is difficult to say that any of our forwards were outplayed when our pack was clearly dominant.

What is noticeable by its absence in this article is a reference to Dombrandt having studied at Cardiff Met. Usually that triggers a bit of sour grapes.

To be fair to the article, which is mostly about explaining how he might solve Wales' shortage of back row cover, they only say Ratti outperformed him based on stats and his try - he did have a very good game; you'd be a wee bit churlish to say Dommers had a better all-round game on the day - but Dommers has been doing this now for a few years: that's what makes him our favourite and he's so consistent.

I can't see him getting much of a rest for the next few months...
