The last one I attended was just turn up with your season ticket. I have to say there's quite a few people geting knickers in a right twist on this. Its only a pre season friendly for heavens sake. Why isnt it free for all? Attract new fans, members etc?

I think we who are wound up were mainly wound up by initial claims of massive queues to get in which were clearly photos of people walking up to buy tickets less than 30 mins before KO.

Either way the game was a bit rubbish so happy to move on

I'd be pretty annoyed if it took that long to buy a ticket at a pre-season event tbh.

Possibly because it costs to open up the stadium.
Coventry, newly promoted to the Chamionship,  were charging £15 for the match against Wasps A and £5  for entry the Cov Development XV match against Cambridge RUFC.

There were massive queues half an hour before KO. The hows and whys don't matter to some. They do to you. We get it. Nobody was spreading false information. And they weren't all idiots.

I was pretty unimpressed with the bar staff and running out of beer during half time. I told them as much at the time and have also said so in the usual feedback email. They ticket the game to get an idea of numbers, so it's poor to underestimate the numbers by so much.

Was such foul weather and such a poor game that I think it wound me up more than it should have.

Not sure how it's that weird. The original post blamed the club for "chaos".

Lots of people either didn't read that they had to claim a ticket or tonnes of people suddenly decided it would be a nice Friday night out to go to the game (nothing wrong with that).

But the fact that huge numbers all decided to turn up with less than 30 mins to go when the whole crowd only ended up at 4000 is almost certainly impossible to predict.

We were in the ground at 615 and there wasn't a queue at the ticket collection office beyond a few people, by the time we'd grabbed food and were walking round to our seats at 645, the place was overwhelmed....

Clearly it's not good but while I blame the club for a lot of things (the now impossible to use Kings Bar, the bad quality of some of the new food stalls, the general failures on the pitch for the past three years......) I'm not sure I agree they should cop the flak for this one.

Come on. They didn't get enough beer in and they didn't have enough staff to cover the ticket office. How is that not their fault?

The only chaos I saw was the new queuing system in the Kings Bar. Fortunately someone had the wit to remove it at the end of the game. If it's implemented for sell out games, there will likely be injuries when the elastic crowd restraint snaps.

I made it very clear in my feedback that if they stick with it I'll switch to the pub.

But fair play fpr trying something out during pre-season, now they just need to hands-up it didn't work!

Yes indeed - if the Kings Bar queue thing is there on Sat it really is going to be chaos.

As we were entering, 3 different groups of fans, in Quins kit, asked Stewards where they could buy a ticket and didn't quibble at the price. And that was 50 minutes before ko.

Young children are most definitely to be encouraged so maybe the answer for Cookie's mate would have been to enter 10/15 minutes after ko when queues might have subsided rather than expect the system to be tailored to his needs.

We could have all heckled him for having a broken watch etc...:)

Well anyway - much as with my post on Smith - I may have been feeling a little bit punchy last weekend....

So....let's see how many of the "matchday changes" still exist come Saturday.

Looking forward to my feedback form once the queue for the gents in the Kings meets the new queuing system with a full stadium.....

you did well to miss the beer - the couple of Jesters pints I had were terrible - probably clearing last seasons excess !!
