I don't want to throw water on the fires of enthusiasm but let's just take a reality check.

following a potential career ending injury, surgery and long rehabilitation he has not been able to play for a season.  He now has the uphill task of regaining confidence in the damaged leg and returning to match fitness.  We have seen in other players just how difficult this is and the risk of sustaining further damage is very high.

In this scenario why would any other club take this player on, particularly when there is so much uncertainty in the game just now.  Earle is never going anywhere soon, not until he has demonstrated beyond all doubt that he has the speed and physical capacity to get back on the wing in a meaningful way.

I do recognise that my description of the returning player from injury could easily have applied to Saili when he transferred to us.  That didn't work out quite a well as planned.

Valid points. The same could be said of Brown.

Ross Chisholm had a similar issue and has never looked as good as he used to. Other players come back seemingly 100%. Fingers crossed Earle is in the latter category.
