Hopefully he'll still be very angry.

Not quite sure why they make the poor sod turn up mind you.

However, that's clearly not the final squad for Wales as it only includes one scrum half.

Robson, Cole and Cokanasiga presumably released to give them some game time at the weekend.

Eddie is really messing Mike about now. He's clearly not first choice for England anymore and probably doesn't have the pace to fit their gameplan. If Watson gets fit, Mike will probably be 3rd/4th choice. He should put him out of his misery and let him announce his international retirement - England's most capped fullback deserves that rather than the ignominy of dropping in and out of the enlarged squad.

All a bit OTT. If Daly picks up a knock, MB is the obvious choice to slot back in. Maybe Nowell and Ashton are training at 15 as well for coverage but would Eddie trust them to start there against the big boys at the WC? Probably not.

Not to mention the fact that it's clear as day Brownie wants to wrestle the England 15 shirt back. He can't do that if he's not in the training camps.

Think he will more than likely retire from internationals after the WC.

Why would Brown want to retire from internationals before the RWC? Very odd.

It's perfectly standard to release players to their clubs who've not played in the internationals, or those who've only played a few minutes

Id say its pretty obvious he is letting the blokes that need game time go back to their clubs to get some!!

It was clear when Mike wasn't picked for the Ireland game (a decision at the time I thought was wrong) that he wasn't Eddie's first choice anymore and even the most myopic Quins fan has to admit Daly has acquitted himself well so far in the 6N. If Daly, Watson, Nowell and Ashton are all fit I'm not sure I see Mike getting a World Cup squad place. I can't think of any international with 70+ caps who has been treated like this. As for giving him game time at club level, he's played there consistently all season and isn't returning from injury needing to prove his fitness. If he's deemed surplus to requirements at least allow him the dignity to retire on his own terms.

This is a really weird narrative. He has 70 caps so he should be treated differently to everyone else?

Utterly bizarre. Why would an international coach want a potential player not getting any game time for 7 weeks? Why would brown not want a chance to impress in England training?

Mike Brown the Offload King - ranked second in the league with offloads behind Naiyaravoro (Brown has 16 and Naiyaravoro has 17)

Any time he is wearing the quarters is a good thing for us!

Might be a biased view but still think he's the best 15 in England...

I still think Mike will go to the World Cup - might not get any game time but EJ will want him in the squad. Also wouldn't be surprised if he gets a game against Italy in the 6N.
