Yep - no DC.
Good for us, shame for him.
DC will be gutted, for sure, but this is the best possible news for us. The other three are far easier to cover.
Did not see Clifford being named - massive respect for fighting his way back in from injury problems that many suggested were potentially the end of him at the highest level. Hopefully this proves to him that Quins is the place to be if he wants to play at the top of the game. I'd still love him to stay.

Likewise regarding Clifford; I didn’t see that coming! But pleased for him. Really gutted for Danny Care, with the World Cup fast approaching and the form he’s been showing recently, that’s not discredit to the other No.9’s selected. Great for us though in the meantime! Fingers crossed he fights his way back in the England squad summer in time for the RWC. Glad Brown is back in. Really hoping this is the last we see of Daly at Fullback for England. Still surprised Marchant hasn’t been given a shot but again great we have him over the 6Nations period. Fantastic squad in any case!
Am reading that this is the squad "for the Ireland game". Does that mean he's naming a squad week-to-week?

I'd guess that this is the core squad for the whole championship, with changes due to injury only, at least for the first two games. There's a chance he could swap some players in the two week gaps between rounds 2&3 and 3&4 for tactical reasons, as there's more time to swap things around in training, but any changes from wk1 to 2 and 4 to 5 are most likely due to injury/fitness.

Have had another read and it looks as though you’re right there. Bit odd to name a squad for one game instead of the whole series, but it is Eddie Jones after all! 😆

It's a 39 man squad that will be trimmed to 25 for the Ireland game. Highly unlikely that anyone would come in from outside the 39. Also unlikely anyone would come in from outside for other games other than for injury (e.g. there are only 2 scrum halves named).
He did name squads "per match" in the autumn as well i think.
In the video with the announcement he says Clifford had a big impact in 2016, and has come back from injury and played very well for Quins and can play 6,7, or 8 for England.
Really gutted for Danny, in my opinion he is the best scrum half England have! Oh well, that is good for us. As was said earlier, I hope he is able to break in to the World Cup squad. He deserves to. Strange days.
Well done to Brown, Clifford and Sinck, good for them!
Gutted for Care. England will miss his magical footballing skills.
Robshaw 'will 100% return when fit'.
And with Clifford away (deservedly) with England, Robshaw can slot straight back in to the back row without us worrying about disrupting a settled bunch. Although, in my opinion, he's first choice when fit.
Care is an odd omission but that's EJ for you. It's worked for Brown, maybe he's leaving out Care to fire him up till the end of the season.
The real indicator will be if Youngs or Robson breaks, does he go back to Care or pick Wigglesworth? If it's the latter, then I think the die is cast.
Unless there is any injury, I suspect we'll get Clifford back...
