England v New Zealand tickets avail online
« on: Wednesday 07-Nov-2018, 13:52* »
They haven't sent any emails, but tickets for the ABs are apparently avail for First XV members (England supporters club). There are plenty of seats....

At £110 for upper tier, £135 for the front rows of the lower tier behind the posts, £161 for middle tier behind the posts and £195 for anything between the two dead ball lines - I'm really not surprised there are so many.

Anyway - if you fancy going -- plenty of seats and not just singles.

Ridiculous prices, or is that for pairs of tickets?

Crazy money, but I guess if they can sell them at that why charge less. They'll make tons from overpriced dreggs sold as beer too.

Indeed - taking an “average” of £152, which isn’t even correct because there are far more £190 seats than lower priced ones - and thousands of people using hospitality....but even with those glaring omissions makes bare minimum revenue from seats alone £12,464,000 from one match.

What an income stream! No wonder they blow cash like it's going out of fashion!

Don't forget these are the 'resale' prices. The mechanics have all changed. For the worse.

2018 is going to be a stonking year, moneywise, for the RFU. Four internationals, followed by the Barbarians, followed by the Varsity game, followed by the Big Match.

And they are cutting back on staff numbers!

Yeah but using that average does balance out the original price in round 1 to clubs and doesn’t factor in hospitality revenue at all.

That sounds broadly like every year though doesn’t it? The Northants game had the happy coincidence of being for a great cause but also allowing them to test the new East Stand hospitality stuff.

I think they’re finally starting to hit the limit for ticket prices though. The premium for the ABs is a bit ridiculous and I don’t remember any pairs being available in previous years this close to the day.

There were pairs available for SA the day before the match as well.

I think they've finally out-priced everyone apart from rich people and corporate accounts who don't care if they're watching rugby, rowing or the opera.

Although you can get tickets at the Royal Opera House for £50....

I don't think they *are* resale prices. These are prices for tickets to the First XV (what used to be called the England Rugby Supporters Club) direct from the RFU (using Ticketmaster solely as the payment processor).
