The last 2 paragraphs of this telegraph article from last week  suggests that Steve Brown isn't open to sharing ...

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/rugby-union/2018/11/09/exclusive-englands-match-blacks-could-generate-close-15-million/

This Pundit Arena article from 2 years ago says they tried to increase their fee from 1.5M to 3M after the RWC  but the RFU refused and so the Test didn't happen

http://www.punditarena.com/rugby/cmalone/blacks-impose-exceeded-test-price-charge/

Cant see anywhere what they were actually paid for last weeks Test .

Quite, back in 2006, Ian Ritchie told them to “go and build a stadium if you want to increase your revenue growth." He went on to explain that we got none of the revenues generated by our 3 game tour in Australia and nor did the Lions.

The ABs think they're special. They're not.

Am I right in thinking that one of the motivators behind the NZ/Quins tie up was to try and stem the flow of NZ players to the moneyed North?

It was put forward as a way to *manage* the flow, allowing a more formalised situation where players can sabbatical in the North without losing all chance of AB consideration. NZRU would have some say about how much they play/when they play & could call them back if they wanted, I believe.

I thought we were having a civilised discussion here and now I get insults? You suddenly tell me I know nothing because I don't agree with you? You are Donald Trump and I claim my £10!

It's not an insult. It's an observation based on what you had written. Civility has been maintained.

Spoke to one of my corporate hospitality contacts this morning and he's getting worried that his clients are cottoning on to Twickenham not selling out. Another contact of his went in before the Oz game and was told there were 400 Cat 1 tickets unsold and would he like a batch of 20+? Similar situation for the SA game and less so the NZ game. My guy was sat in the debenture area where a row of 10 tickets were empty for NZ.

Perhaps the RFU have pushed it too far after all.

Also feel sorry for the Baa Baas as they seem to be trying everything to sell tickets. No doubt there's some fatigue from the local fans.

Speaking for some of us locals, given I managed to get tickets to everything this year, don't have any need to see the BaaBaas -- previous years I'd have gone as a way of having some beers and enjoying HQ if I'd not been able to get tickets to the bigger games.

The first sentence of your 'edited' quote is, as a generalisation, inaccurate. England games at Twickenham this Autumn have been 'sell-outs'.

81,000 attendance on a capacity of 81,600 is - what 98% or 99%. Of those the empty seats were no-shows rather than 'not-solds'.

As for the Barbarians, well, I am sorry, but I think they are a 'yesterday' concept. That is why there is less demand.

We'll have to agree to disagree that having that many tickets unsold and anybody being able to buy tickets on Ticketmaster on the morning of all 4 games without any club membership or affiliation is a good thing.

And I strongly disagree with the assertion that the Baa Baas is a 'yesterday' concept. Things like the Barbarians and Lions showcase everything that's great about rugby, namely putting club and country alliances to one side.

I thought capacity was just over 82k?
Not a big difference I know but still greater. Eng v NZ reported 82149 attendance.

Most recent results:

Beat the Classic Wallabies 27-24
Lost to an Australia XV 31-28
Lost to a New Zealand XV 22-31
Beat Tonga 27-24
Beat Munster 19-0
Beat British Army 37-0
Bear England XV 65-43

And the players keep wanting to play. As Springbok captain Siya Kolisi said on the BBC Podcast, he was excited to have the chance to play on Saturday.

but - the Barbaa's games are 'friendlies'
sometimes they are marred by players doing silly things just because they are retiring.  E.g. from memory, a prop tried to kick a conversion one year.
I find these games fun - but I think of them as a minor step up from games such as the "Help for heroes 15" v French Legends" game that was held at Richmond earlier this month.

I will go if:
-They don't cost much
-there is an element of charity about the game
-i really don't have anything better to do
