Here's the runners & riders for the draw... Looks like there's a good chance we could end up with another English team.

I Would love an away day at Racing in La Defense Arena! Also, Leinster away - Although both fixtures i cannot imagine us winning unfortunately...

Sadly Racing is one of the teams we can't draw as they're in the same tier as us, along with Connacht.

The rules of the draw also say that "Clubs from the same league will be kept apart until the allocation of the Tier 4 clubs" so I think this means that we can't be drawn with Sarries, Exeter, Gloucester or Saints.

I think it means precisely the opposite of that. If we had been one of those top 4 clubs we could not have been drawn against any of the other 3 top 4 Prem clubs. Since we came 5th, we can potentially end up in any of their pools. I think?

I'd like to be in a group with either Leinster or Munster.  Leinster as I have a close friend who is a season ticket holder there so always enjoy games with him.  Munster (perhaps controversially on here!), just because, and I don't know why, but I have a soft spot for them and have managed to be seduced by the big Thomond Park European games - something I've wanted to experience but haven't had the chance yet.

“Tier 3 will include the two clubs ranked fourth which are not in Tier 2 as well as the three fifth-ranked clubs from each league – Harlequins, Connacht Rugby and Racing 92.“

From EPCR website...

We are in tier 3 and Sarries, Exeter, Gloucester and Saints will be in tiers 1, 2 or 3...

Tier 1 and 1st seeds – Saracens, Leinster and Toulouse

2nd seeds – Exeter Chiefs, Glasgow Warriors and Clermont

Tier 2 and 3rd seeds – Gloucester, Munster and Lyon

4th seeds – Northampton Saints, Ulster and La Rochelle

Tier 3 and 5th seeds – Harlequins, Connacht and Racing 92

Tier 4 and 6th and 7th seeds – Bath, Benetton, Montpellier, Sale Sharks and Ospreys

Fair enough! These draws are always too much for me. Someone please just tell me who we end up with!  ;D

I don't think that's a bad group at all. Sale and Ospreys are the victims of groups of death. The other three pools are wide open I'd say. If we pick up the wins against Bath and also Ulster, who have a history of underperforming in Europe and are not the squad they used to be, then who knows what we can do against Clermont at home? Not expecting us to beat them away of course...
