I'm left wondering if we might see Luamanu move into the locks - he's been used there before from memory? And I believe Dino Lamb can also play there. I wonder if second row might suit Luamanu more. Less loose work, more outright grunt - cast himself in the mould of Ollie Kohn and he might be more useful for us there? He's never seemed fit enough round the park to convince me he's a decent option at 8. If he could also just get fitter that would be the ideal solution of course...

Good call. He's done it before and I recall it strengthening the scrum when he did. I suspect he'd do it under duresse, though, like Easter towards the end of his playing days.

You don't need both your locks to jump if you have them elsewhere. A team needs 3, ideally, so with Horwill and Robshaw, only one more needed at most. Doesn't need to be a second rower. That's old rugby.

I'd rather a lock than one of our midget back rowers. On a separate note - I don't think Luamanu's work rate is high enough.
