No surprise. Think they should have looked elsewhere though.

Why? His record is really quite good - a 2-1 series win in Australia (won all but one game on tour) and a creditable 1-1 draw in NZ (D 2, L3, W5 in total) - has any coach beaten that (in recent history)?

Totally uninspired choice and quite a decisive character. Yes undoubtedly a good coach/Manager just a little bored of him now

He's by far the best qualified candidate.

Warburton to come out of retirement for a few months presumably!

I must have missed something, I thought he said he didn't want to do it again? I thought they might try for Gregor Townsend

I would prefer it if a different head coach was chosen for each tour.

But in Test matches it's W3, L2, D1 so looks great on paper. But they struggled to beat a very poor Austrailian side and two of those test matches came down to 1 kick so could easily have been the other way. Not taking Robshaw in 2013 was a disgrace, especially when Warburton was injured and couldn't play all the test matches. Roll forward 4 years and guess what, he was injured again and dropped for the first test......But he's a great leader though!!!!!!!!!!!

Roll on another 2 years of waiting to be disappointed about the lack of English/Quins players.
