Good news for Fatialofa - Worcester Lock
« on: Thursday 09-Jan-2020, 10:47* »
Positive news for Fatialofa following his surgery. He seemed to be a bad state and the surgery seemed to be positive. Hoping for a full recovery and seeing him back on the pitch.

From the BBC site:

Worcester lock Michael Fatialofa has successfully undergone surgery on the neck injury he sustained on Saturday in the 62-5 defeat at Saracens.
The 27-year-old is in intensive care at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, in London, with bruising and swelling on his spinal cord.
An operation on Monday evening has relieved the pressure.
A club statement said: "The operation was a success and Michael is stable, but he remains in a serious condition."
It added: "The process of recovery and observation of improvement will now begin. As always our thoughts and prayers are with Michael and his family who we will continue support however we can as part of the Warriors family.
"Michael and his family are sincerely grateful for the support shown by the rugby community."

I heard about him on one of the podcasts. Sounded terrible. Good that the operation was successful. Let's hope he makes a full recovery.

Tragic injury. I wonder what the long term prognosis is. Didn't see the incident. Anyone know what happened?
