No, my displeasure of the evening was definitely caused by Cookie. Cookies friends, and the free drinks that the landlord gave us.
Thanks for arranging that Cookie it was a good night

Thanks, guys. I'll be looking to hone my IT skills for the next game!

It's not a bad pub with (ahem) interesting folk.

Thanks BQ. Our lad also got thumped up by Kneller Gardens a few months ago when refusing to buy some weed.

Is that the full story?

Your point being?

Nothing implied. Sorry to hear your son was attacked.

I wondered whether your son was assaulted after an exchange of words, or what the circs were.

Exactly as described. He and a couple of friends were walking home. They were asked if they wanted to buy some weed. They said no and then got set upon by those boys and more who appeared out of Kneller Gardens. Went on a bit of a crusade with the Council and the police and we now have more patrols etc.

Thank you. Sounds nasty.

Why is the coverage by BT sport of the Challenge Cup so poor compared to when SKY had the contract? Lack of funds?

Dunno if it was the long hot evenings or whatever but Kneller suddenly became home to a very unpleasant group every evening during a fairly long period of the summer - muggings, bins getting set on fire, and apparently fights between two rival groups (based on some family hounslow/whitton spat).

I was all for BT getting all the rights because it meant one subscription, rather than two, but I was under the assumption that they'd be showing at least some of the Challenge Cup games. It seems that they've gone all in on the Champions cup, showing every] Champions Cup game live, which ties up all their broadcasting resources, leaving none left for the Challenge Cup. I've sent an email to complain about his & will see what I get back from them...

TV coverage of the Challenge with Sky would usually include a Thursday night game. Never popular with the fans.
