Not sure we have many whose place is unchallenged and not an international. Is Horwill’s season being tainted with the lack of coaching nouse and fitness that plagued the whole team?
I’d want to see Bothma string a couple of months rugby together before making him captain. He certainly has potential, but can’t see what he’s proved that makes him captaincy material. I’d stick with Horwill this season.
Bothma leads from the front. He's very much in the thick of it and makes some very hard yards. The kind of guy you want on your side in a battle.
If he stays fit, I think he'll be a key player this season. I hope his arm stays in one piece, although it seems to be more titanium than bone these days.
