Or First XV as it's now known. I know some of you have questioned in the past whether it's worth joining or taking part in the ballots. Just got the news this evening - 2 tickets to watch England vs New Zealand! Woo Hoo!

Well, we had that discussion last year on whether anyone ever got anything from taking part in the ballots. Is membership of ERSC worth it? I hadn't got anything in last season's AI or 6N ballots, but now? If you take the cost of membership of First XV vs tickets received, then I'd definitely say it's worth it.

Congrats!

I've been a member for over 10 years and have never been successful in the ballot.

However... I have managed to pick up last minute tickets on numerous occasions and was able to get tickets for all of the 2007 WC group games so agree that membership is well worth the money.

I think now they've gone back to a ballot for both the AIs and 6Ns then it's worth it. The ludicrous first-come first-served system they had last year for the AIs was beyond a joke. I wasn't working at the time, so I was able to log on early & wait in the queue on the day tickets went on sale. I and many others who tried spent a couple of hours waiting in the online queue just to get through, and all the tickets for the Australia game had already been sold out & up on re-sale sites for vastly inflated prices before we'd even had a chance to get them.

I am not really mercenary (well, perhaps I am just a teeny bit). But, er, how much did the tickets cost you?
