Agree with Rocker, in that Exeter could well go 22-0 unbeaten. If they keep up this level of performance, is there anyone who could find a way to beat them? As for Qiuins, we were allowed tomplay with freedom but also allowed Northampton to score plenty. Centres look strong & wings looked dangerous with the ball. Now, that maul defence..?????

I think there are teams that can beat Exeter, but before we played them last week I said that no matter who they select, they very rarely have a bad game.  They are beatable but the team that does will need to be on it for the full 80.

If yesterday was the example of the 'All Court' game Gustard is aiming for, then I'll happily watch that every week. I know it was against a poor Saints defence, but it demonstrated you can win playing entertaining ball-in-hand rugby without having to revert to the boring kick-fest that England seem to favour. The All Blacks did the same against Argentina earlier in the day and ran phase after phase until Argentina were so tired from tackling, they conceded 3 tries in the last 10 mins. I know which tactics I'd prefer to watch

The Saints defence is pretty poor, although I think we should give our boys the credit for creating and taking the opportunities. Some of those tries owe far more to good attacking play than poor defence.

The tries we gave away were poor, but as usual we were our own worst enemy. Our first up defence is actually pretty decent, but it’s very obvious that we’re useless at defending driving mauls so it’s infuriating to see us giving away senseless penalties in our own half.

Anyone playing against must know they have a good chance of scoring if they can kick close enough to the corner to set up a maul. It’s not easily solved, so the simpler solution is to be a lot more savvy on the discipline. We need the likes of Botta to cotton on to the fact that he can’t play the ball lying on his belly or obviously sack a maul on half way. Cut the idiocy and we might be OK.

We could also try to disrupt the (oppo) LO a bit more, stop the maul before it even starts!!!

Also keep up tradition of pulling loss out of the jaws of victory. It’s when our heads go down in the first half and We  fall apart I can’t stand.

The problem with that is if you fail then it's harder to defend the maul as you don't have as much time to set the defence.  Further upfield, no problem.

The best lineout operator, both attacking and defending, we have had in the last few years was Charlie Matthews however he clearly didn't  have enough in the rest of his game to keep his place.

I have to say Exeter's result against Bath, who were one of the form teams at the end of last season and touted for top 4 this season, shows that last week we were well beaten by an amazing team. Hats of to Quiins for displaying grit and determination last week and for playing really well this week and getting a handsome win over Saints. Well done Gustard and the rest of the coaches and well done the team. I think some of us (me included) overreacted to a loss against a superb team last week.

Where is the real Rocker - you are an imposter!  ;)

No, I disagree, the worst thing Quins can do is score a nice try early on. They seem to switch to 7’s with tackling optional and thinkthey have already won it.

Im joking, kind of.

We do seem to have a mental switch off though for about 20 mins. Last night after going 20 pts up, I’m still haunted by the Bath match last season.
