Very odd that Mulchrone is more or less dismissed when he's the only scrum half other than Care who has looked the goods at premiership level.

Not dismissed, more a case of unsure. reason being for me.....we bring in a quality replacement for Care, Saunders and Waters fighting it out for the bench spot. Would Mulchrone be happy being in that mix??  By now should he be thinking about being a first choice somewhere?? As I said elsewhere, I thought he was the better of our 2 SH on friday night.

He's played 20 games for Quins, the majority the season before last. I think it's too early for him to be considered first choice anywhere, although I'm sure he has his sights set on getting plenty of first team action with us this season. Based on his track record he is comfortably ahead of Waters and Saunders. Waters is temporarily out of the picture anyway.
