I don't think it likely that having won the Prem there wasn't increased money for players.

Do I remember correctly that the year we won the Prem we were one of the teams that broke the cap ,all be it marginally, because of bonus payments for winning. I also remember COS saying that we spent up to the cap in one of his meet the supporters evenings as somebody asked about recruitment.
