Only saw Sam when he played against Plymouth Albion in pre season. He’s lost weight since he’s joined the Navy. Whilst at Albion he was a crowd favourite and can see him being able to step up to the Prem.
Not sure how this fits in with him being in the Navy?
Think he may have played alongside Max at Albion. ( as a flanker)

Rugbypass stats show that for lineout throws, Ward only wins 77%.
As a comparison, Crumpton is on 83% (although he had taken far fewer lineouts).
Sadly, the stats don't cover Plymouth

What the stats don`t show is the Ward lineout throws lost at crucial times, normally an attacking 5m lineout.

No, the stats don't show that. 
But, look at it a different way.
You get 4 kickable penalties.  Score 12 points.
You kick 4 to the corner.  On Ward's average, only 3 get caught. As the tries are scored in the corner (hence difficult kick), you only have a possible 15 points.
if you assume that at least one doesn't get scored due to maul being turned over, etc, then this suggests that you are better going for the sticks if Ward is on the field.

Probably, this accounts for the 77% rather than the 75% that I used in my example  :-)
