Horwill injury
« on: Sunday 02-Sep-2018, 07:55* »
Bumped into Horwill after the game, he didn’t look particularly cheerful (possibly just because he was trying to leave), but anyway not reading much into that...

However when I asked him when he was back he said - you’ve guessed it - “a couple of weeks”.

I assume since we’ve named him co captain there’s nothing season-ending going on but it’s beginning to look a bit worrying isn’t it?

I'd start to worry if we haven't seen him before the break for the Challenge Cup games.

I'll update the injury list later and show him as unavailable until Oct, do you know what his injury is?

I spoke to Alofa in the shop pregame and he said he had pulled his calf but was cleared and had trained with the team Friday and will be playing in the Monday night game tomorrow. Struggle to see him getting back in the team if we have everyone available.

Horwill had a boot on at some point last week. Good to see Chisholm junior back but what about Jack Clifford?

I think Alofa is a quality player. He is a surprisingly strong runner, and makes a lot of breaks. His defence seems pretty good too, when I've watched him play.

I'd say that we will be seeing players getting less game time through being rested/managed, rather than having consistent starters.
