I can understand why he felt he needed to leave if Quins were imposing pay cuts, and at the time we were pretty poor too. Couple of seasons earning good money in France, lovely place to live, etc. Instead, he's now in the doldrums, living down there in lockdown is presumably not as much fun as it would have been in normal times, and Quins have gone on to win the Premiership. A gamble that has not really paid off. He might still be perfectly happy, in which case good luck to him. Despite his very obvious qualities, I'm not sure I'd be that thrilled about him re-joining, and he clearly doesn't want to anyway. While I hope he does well for himself, it's quite easy to see his career turning into a case of "what might have been"
