I’m sure I saw Gabs in one of todays training videos on Social Media.

On the contrary, I haven't seen him in anything since the rumours started circulating. The one I saw today didn't feature him - and judging by all the reports it looks like he wants out, doesn't it?

This is a Google translate of the few sentences that I can get without paying:

I never believe anything until it is official.  Quite a few players have not been seen in any pics/vids

Here is the full article from Sud Ouest: An imbroglio with the Harlequins clubs is blocking recruitment for the time being. President Jean-François Fonteneau hopes for a favorable outcome this week
Asked this Wednesday morning about the progress of the file relating to the recruitment of the English nugget Gabriel Ibitoye, Jean-François Fonteneau evokes a blocked situation. "The boy wants to come to Agen. His agent assures me that he is going to come, but the Harlequins club has blocked so far."

This imbroglio is to be attributed to the contractual situation of the young winger who has two years of contract with the Harlequins.

Except that the English club, facing serious financial difficulties due to the Covid crisis, 19 asked these players to sign an amendment to their contracts asking them to lower their wages, the contractual link would be broken which would allow Ibitoye who refuses to sign this endorsement to join the banks of the Garonne.

"The situation could settle down this week"

Alas, English labor law is not the same as French law and this is probably where the problem lies. The name of the British hopeful (international U20 in the XV de la Rose, 11 tries in 15 caps) does not appear in the list of 18 players left free by the London club this summer.

"The situation could settle down this week," said Jean-François Fonteneau, who said it was out of the question for the SUA to pay the player's two-year contract if by chance the Harlequins club made this requirement.

Who doesn't love a good imbroglio! Very 'Jeeves and Wooster'!!!
Thank you for the translation.

I do hope Gabs stays with us. He is playing better and better, is still young and does offer us something quite different. There are few players like him, really.

He was in a clip doing sprint drills and also in the background hitting a pad in a Insta post by Lang. I recognised him by his haircut.

Are you sure it wasn’t Lennox Anyanwu (who definitely was in the pictures).

The picture Lang posted was from the first week back at training - it had been posted previously.

And if this is the video you're talking about, Gabs doesn't appear in it: https://twitter.com/Harlequins/status/1278992749346291713

QC is right - Lennox Anyawu is perhaps who you saw (at 00:09). The effects on the video do make it hard to ID players in fairness.

I'm a firm believer that if a player wants out, let them go. Having someone in the squad that doesn't want to be there can be a very negative influence.

Normally i find it hard to side with the player, as they sign a contract and should be expected to fulfill it. But these are strange times, and if he's been asked to take a pay cut, that can be a big factor - depending on the size of the cut, versus what he may be offered elsewhere.

It sounds probable that Gabs has been offered lesser terms, same as some but not all, and has been given a period to accept or not. The Agen offer pressures the club to revise those terms or a way out if they don’t. Makes commercial sense for him, but either way can’t see that a grumbling young Quin will be good for the team or that a move to Agen will be good for his rugby, which should be his priority right now. Extraordinary athlete but so much rugby know-how to develop. Surely he and his advisors can see that?

Ibitoye is in the last picture of Lang's post, Lennox is in the first one

The difficulty for Quins is that if they do improve his terms, how will that impact the players who may have already bitten the bullet and accepted lower pay? It sends the wrong message. There is an argument that you might (note: MIGHT) make an exception for a truly exceptional player - Robshaw, Marler, Smith, Brown for example - But Gabs is nowhere near that category and I doubt we'll ever build a team around him. Plus, we're not short of quality wingers.

Agree with that. He should focus on his rugby and the rewards should come but the horse has bolted now and the club should not make an exception for him at the risk of spreading unrest.

Gabs has longer hair and ties it up, Lennox doesn’t. Gabs has a darker complexion and they also do not look that similar so no I’m not confused. It doesn’t mean he staying just I know what I saw.

Just another possibility that fits the available information;

Perhaps Ibitoye feels that the contract he signed last year (probably actually agreed late 2018) was already out of sync with his break through as a regular starter and the club's top try scorer. A pay reduction therefore being rather a double whammy.

Given the extraordinary situation with salaries across league, Gab's Agent would pretty much have to create a realistic external option to have any leverage to negotiate with the club.

Perhaps I'm being over-optimistic, but it seems to me perfectly possible that Gabs is happily getting on with his rugby at Quins, while his agent is doing what he needs to in his clients best interests.
