Injuries
« on: Tuesday 18-Sep-2018, 08:20* »
With little informtion from the club have we any idea when:

- Clifford
- Sink
- Sali
- Horwill

might return to action?

I'm particularly worried about Clifford and Sali.....

I know we don't want to go broadcatsing info to other clubs but it might be nice for the fans to have some sort of idea when some of our key players might make a return.

-Saili
-Horwill
-Boyce
-McNulty

All yesterday participated in “Team rehab collision conditioning” yesterday as posted by our Rehab Strength and Conditioning  coach via his Instagram video yesterday, smashing tackle pads and bags, so wouldn’t be too worried as they seem to be on the last stage of conditioning etc before returning. Will post the post below.

All hearsay but this is what I recall -

Horwail said 2 weeks ago he would be back in 2-3 weeks (based on that, anytime soon)

Sink had a thigh strain and as above - anytime soon

Sali and Clifford are both in training although to what level I do not know (I think both have been for a few weeks now)

It's all guesswork. (sorry for repeat, got distracted halfway through typing and someone else has already posted this..)

But here's a post from the club's rehab strength and conditioning coach yesterday - which shows them all doing some collision work.

Team Rehab collision conditioning for @francissaili @jhorwill @jclifford93 @kylesinckler @lewisboyce32 @joshmcnulty94 -

No worries! Let’s just hope during this process they don’t aggravate anything!

I spoke to Clifford pre-season and he was hoping to make the first game, so his injury is a bit of a worry.

Another post from the physio shows Horwill & Saili  and comments on them being very close (to fitness not with each other) so that sounds encouraging!

As it stands not sure Salli gets in the side anyway.  Thought Taps and Marchant have done ok.  Plus Laskie when given the chance.  Might need to earn his shot in the A league first

Not sure Lasike offers much more than a battering ram option def would have a fit Siali ahead of him

I think that a yeah needs a balanced centre partnership, power and guile. I think Marchant and sali wound be too much guile and not enough power.

I think Marchant has plenty of power but not great weight. Like George Lowe.

Im sure it was mentioned in a pre season video (??) that pound for pound Marchant is one of the strongest in the squad
