According to Fissler JK has joined Tony Woodcock (Mike Brown’s Father in law) as a rugby agent. Apparently there are 120 registered rugby agents - sounds a large number but presumably it includes all UK.

It sounds a “large number” even it applies to all of the main rugby-playing countries.

Rough thoughts... 30 players per squad, 15 teams worth including in top flight (top of championship plus some rounding) = 450 players in the UK possibly with agent representation.

~3.75 players per agent... Seems a bit of a saturated marketplace!

I'd like him to still be coaching our forwards...

In isolation, maybe.

With all the baggage, absolutely not from my POV.

got to agree with Quinky JK is a good scrum coach and is Quins though and though,he did not want the directors job it was thrust on him I believe he has a good track record with coaching forwards and many years of experience unlike Jones who is just starting out.

Loads of people all after a slice of the cake.

Last thing they need is JK then, if he gets hold of it there’s only gonna be crumbs for the rest

I think this is a huge market for agents , especially now the salaries are starting to climb  .

I would have thought that all the players in Championship , Nat 1 , Nat 2 would want representation to get Prem Contracts , and that's just in England . Lower levels across the rest of the UK also full of aspiring athletes . Europe wide Leagues , and then the SH .. I should imagine that pool is many thousands of players .

However , I think  that the biggest pool would come from Junior Clubs and Colleges/ Universities right across the UK - many already identified by Counties , Academies and National Age Groupings

Im sure the market is potentially huge , and these guys would be scrapping over the signatures of youngsters  and hoping they are the next big thing .( like Dombrandt)

Kingston should have an advantage there as a talent scout and Coach , cant be many agents that have played for their country and been a DOR of a Prem side .

You can imagine he has his clients' pitch all ready.

Why do you think salaries are climbing? The salary cap hasn't changed

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/37311767

Part of the reason we've let so many players go this season is to bring in 'cheaper' options. A few players may have had increases but most haven't and some players are being let go to find the money for the players that have had increases.

And to have a smaller squad. Pay fewer people more money each - ie salaries are rising.
