Quality player but has apparently been a massive pain in the arris down there. Seems to have fallen out with the owner too. Then again, he seems like a ‘character’ too.

Wouldn't want him, unless it's on £150k tops.

Not happy with his performances. This try at the weekend was the final straw: https://twitter.com/i/status/1097115756033118209

I can understand Toulon's point of view.  I think that if Nathan Earle had chased down an opposition winger in the way and let the oppo score a match winning try, then this board would go into meltdown with people calling for his head.  I can't believe that the Agen winger was really that much faster.  So, it looks like Savea didn't put the effort in.
I also think that he hasn't tried to fit in at the club and endear himself with the supporters.  Leaving the club to visit his brother's wedding is a case in point.  I can understand that he wanted to go to the wedding.  But, I think, he was gone for 1 month.  I can see it from the supporters view that they have a highly paid player who is not around when the team are struggling at the bottom of the table.

Weird how everyone's viewing that clip. Savea had to turn, accelerate and get into his canter. The other guy was at full tilt already. Hardly as simple as "outpaced" as is being made out.

Interesting. That's nearly half a pitch in length, and he didn't seem to be getting up to any great speed compared to the other winger. Unless the attacking winger is lightning quick (which doesn't seem to be the case), you have to wonder whether Savea has lost pace, or whether he really wasn't trying too hard. Most wingers really on their pace for the initial burst, and many seem to slow down after the first 30/40 metres or so.
