Lasike got a straight red for stamping on a player that wouldnt let go of him against Argentina B team tonight, there are some videos on twitter.

Probably. Don't know what his schedule is. Or where he stamped the bloke.

From the short video online it looks like the stamp was on the back area. Stupid thing to do but wouldn't have come about if players on the ground holding onto/down opponents was refereed properly.

Yes but if you’re a professional rugby player the thing to do is not to react by stamping.

Agree with that too, but sometimes it's human nature to react in the heat of the moment.

It's one of those things now which refs don't stop but you can't react too. Correct decision is yellow for player holding, red for reaction. Like the marler one

Pretty stupid thing to do - but having watched the replay I have a fair amount of sympathy for him - he tries 2 or 3 times to get away from the guy holding on to him.

That looks a bit close to the head and that's what the ref said. If so it's automatic high end entry point - 12+ weeks.
