Maybe there are expenses - but, it doesn't sound like it - - -

While the RFU have recently spoken about women’s rugby in England potentially turning professional as early as this season, Lyons is quick to point out that her move to Quins doesn’t involve any remuneration.

“I’m still amateur, still very amateur,” she says. “I think people think there is money involved but there isn’t, not for me.”

I would guess that while she's not paid by the club, her travel expenses to & from Ireland when she's on duty/training camps with them are most likely paid by the IRFU.

Ladies, Men and Mixed. Very popular with the Universities. Supposedly contactless but there are plenty of broken noses, arms, legs etc. Quite rufty tufty.
