Re: Local rugby clubs face losing 6N ticket allocations

All tickets for the August ' warm up' games were taken from Local Rugby Clubs and just placed on the RFU / Ticketmaster web site for people to buy direct - apparently to give Ticket Officers a break .

The RFU issued a document last month to all Clubs to say they were revisiting the allocations of tickets to Rugby Clubs for next years 6N . They are planning to use a 'new algorithm ' to determine how many each Club would receive . ( currently Level 9 Clubs  get about 40 tickets per game for  most 6N , more for the Italy game )

That probably means only one thing (as the tickets to local clubs give the RFU less revenue than the resale value ) . The RFU will sell less cheaper tickets through the Clubs and sell at the higher prices to allow the Corporate world to spend more in the new East Stand development , or just charge normal punters more .
