And some people would like to be able to acknowledge when we're well beaten, and also to criticise poor refereeing decisions. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

Yes, hadn't assumed this was an argument but....

Totally agree, but in the game that started this we were bloody dreadful and deserved a total shoeing - and it looked like some people were trying to say we might have had a chance barring some bad calls by the ref.

I didn't see the game so can't comment. I think it's rare that a ref will make the difference between a win and a loss, and can only think of a few cases where I'd suggest this.

What I don't understand is why any posts, during or after a game, where any decisions are criticised, are met with comments like "sore loser" and "don't blame the ref for the loss".

Generally posters on here are (rightfully) critical of Quins at times; we know when we're bad and we don't deny it. But just as we criticise players having a bad day, we should be able to criticise the ref as well.

It's turned into a thing. A really annoying thing.

The game in question we would been slaughtered anyway so it seemed like a lot of clutching at tiny straws rather than addressing our issues.

Then a couple of posters got into a big handbags row about it.

Now it's a thing. But agree with you totally.
