Long interview with Visser

Here. Covers his whole career. It's a very interesting read (in my opinion).

“It got to the point where younger players were looking better than I was and that’s where, if you’ve got any self-respect, you’ve got to take the plunge and decide to go and do something else."

Well said; if that's how it was looking to him, then it had to be the right decision.

Interesting to read that Quins really wanted to keep him but he'd made his mind up. Contrary to what many on here thought (myself included) that he was out of favour and there was something wrong behind the scenes and we were looking to offload him.

He is apparently a bit of an odd bloke but sounds to me from the interview that he talks a lot of sense

Agreed on him being a decent bloke but he says he wasn’t getting picked in favour of younger players.. Given he had a year left and we have wing injuries it’s not that much a shock to me - cheaper to keep him than find a new player for 12 months.
