Looks like we've lost a sponsor

You'll probably all have received the email from the club yesterday. At the end it talks about the IG stand is reverting to being named the West Stand. I've had a quick look at the bottom of the front page of the Offy, and IG's logo is gone from there, so it looks like the sponsorship has lapsed & isn't carrying through to the coming season.

Maybe a bit early but would this have anything to do with a new stadium being planned?

I’d imagine that since no one has a clue who or what IG are or did, it doesn’t particularly matter.

IG are a finance and investment group, as for no idea what sponsors do, I’d imagine that’s the whole point ie get name recognition , and they did that and also contributed to the clubs coffers

There are some people find the puns irritating.
There are some find them not funny.
They irritate me when people are trying to have a sensible discussion and this is going on at the same time. In fairness it's not always obvious when a thread is "dead" due to the stop/start nature of message board content.
SO .... we had a  48 hour rule last season that said after that time a thread was fair game for puns (the 48 hours was to kind of take care of people who only logged on here using work computers).

For the avoidance of doubt - this rule applies again this season. I don't want to have to sanction anyone over something as meaningless as this, but I will if necessary.
